Lisa + Stevie Wonder = OMG!

  • Mar. 29th, 2008 at 2:59 PM

I just scored tickets to go to the Stevie Wonder concert on June 26th at Summerfest in Milwaukee!! I am a HUGE fan. 2 years ago, the only item on my Christmas list was Stevie Wonder CD's. (side note: My hubby also bought me a real tambourine...LOL. Let's just say I had way too much fun with a tambourine at a certain Christmas party and he felt I deserved my very own.)

I bought four great seats even though I can't afford them. But this is STEVIE WONDER!! And, it'll be my b-day present. :-)

Anyone planning on coming to the Milwaukee area for Summerfest? If you haven't heard of it, go to www.summerfest.com and check it out. The line up this year is amazing.

So, hubby, teens and I had all decided on the week we'd take to go away and get out of town for vacation. Hubby set it in stone at work. Last week, the Stevie tour announced they'd be HERE! During my week of vacation. It didn't take much pleading since we didn't actually have plans yet, but my family agreed to only go away for half the week so that I could go see Stevie Wonder. I'll be counting the days!!!

"Do Yourself a Favor...... " http://steviewonder.com/  If there is one bio I'd love to write, it'd be Stevie Wonder's. Oh yeah.

For more reasons than one, my favorite Stevie song is "I WIsh." :-)

I feel lucky today!

Hi there!

Sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun! I went to Summerfest once a long time ago just to see Paul Cebar and the Milwaukeeans and boy, was that a fun par-tay.

Summerfest is a par-tay! Paul Cebar is excellent!! My bro is filming their events and collaborating on a film project with them. They're all over YouTube if you go there. :-)

Summerfest is a great Milwaukee event! I've seen a number of bands there, famous and to-be-famous and ought-to-be-famous. The best part are the concerts where you can get in for free and sit on the grass above the amphitheater!
Have fun seeing Stevie!

Hi Deb! It looks like they're weeding out the free hand stamps this year. Even lawn seats are $21 bucks now. I think that's how they're able to bring in such huge acts though!

Well, I guess I'll be hanging around the free stages, then.

Uh-oh--Barb (Boreal Owl) is going to be so jealous! :>)

I used to have a kids' biography about Stevie, but it was written in the '70s. I also have one of his records (yes, vinyl!), and his greatest hits CD.

So that's a great birthday gift! (Is your b-day ON the 26th? Mine's July 26th.)

Well, bring her on down! :-) His music is so amazing. I'm SO stoked about going!!

My actual b-day is July 3rd...the night of the BIG BANG fireworks and that's always fun.
